Sun Life Global Investments continues growth by deepening product line-up with new energy fund

TORONTO, Aug. 10, 2015 /CNW/ - Sun Life Global Investments (Canada) Inc. launched a new energy fund for retail investors today. The Sun Life Dynamic Energy Fund* gives investors access to a portfolio of energy-focused securities in North America and builds on the continuous growth of product offerings available through Sun Life Global Investments.

"Despite the short term dip, we believe there are longer term opportunities in the energy sector for investors, and the Sun Life Dynamic Energy Fund will focus on some of those opportunities," said Sadiq S. Adatia, Chief Investment Officer at Sun Life Global Investments.

In addition to the launch of the new energy fund, Sun Life Global Investments introduced Series EF for 29 of their retail funds. Series EF securities are only available through the Sun Life Global Investments Private Client program to investors who have a fee-based account with their dealer and whose dealer has signed an agreement with Sun Life Global Investments. Instead of paying sales charges, investors buying Series EF securities pay fees to their dealer for investment advice and other services. Sun Life Global Investments can charge a lower management fee for Series EF securities than Series E since it does not pay any commissions to dealers on Series EF. Series EF benefits from the householding feature of our Private Client Program. Series EF is available for the following funds:
